I’m happy to inform that my brain has been to gym today, mainly by reading this article by Alvin Plantinga on Richard Dawkins’ God Delusion.
I suppose I’ve been often scared by the very thought of Richard Dawkins particularly as he manages in interviews to remain calm and dignified even whilst his books contain much blood boiling anti religious propaganda. Not that I don’t stand with him and condemn much that is ludicrous in religion but then he has Jesus as a companion in that also. I do not stand with him however against the very idea of religion per se. His recent letter against Alister McGrath in the Times (I think) was smart and certainly questioned the whole concept of how the theologian can manage with all confidence to say that God is three in one as opposed to 2 or 4. Got me thinking.
