In the valley of bones

the elders lay dozing

Beating back the creep of age

and bouncing nod-ulations

Judgment day breezed on by

into lungs re-filling

with long past tendencies

and tendons re-stretching

I feel again the quickening

accelerating re-membering

breathing and hoping

in re-fresh-meant

Follow this river to the valley’s end

Follow the water and the sound of singing

With the friends of days until the ends of days

Now re-new, re-rise, re-prize
